Use it or Lose it

#1 – Identify It

Return to Sender

Junk Mail: Return to Sender

When thoughts, attitudes, emotions, or desires come to your door, the first thing you want to do is “Identify” them. Like someone knocking on your door, are they friend or foe? Do you receive them into your home or do you slam the door or not open it at all? Whose side are you on? Jesus said, “If you’re not for me, you’re against me.” Anything anti-Christ (against Christ), we should stamp “Reject: Return to Sender!”

So the first step is to identify. What is the identifier?

  • If it is your Spirit speaking, listen.
  • If it is your Soul speaking negatively, meaning your mind, will, or emotions, or your thinker, feeler, or wanter speaking, do not listen.
  • If it is the Devil speaking evil or bad things to you, do not listen.
  • If it is Fear, do not listen.
  • If it is negative thoughts, do not listen.
  • Only listen to the Spirit of God or things that are Good. That makes it pretty simple.

#2 – Sort It

You need to start filtering your thoughts, or things that are said to you, or what you hear. Filtering is sorting. Once you sort, then you know where to put them. It is compartmentalizing. A place for everything and everything in its place. But you don’t know what “place” to put it until you know what “it” is, correct? So identity first, then you can put it in a safe, convenient place if it is something good that you need to keep.

Just like you sort things that come across your desk or mail in your mailbox. Some things you keep, some things you trash or throw away. It’s the same with what you hear, your thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and emotions. Look and identify, then sort and do something with it.

#3 – Use it or Lose It

File it or Trash it

File it or Trash it

Where is your inner filing system? In your heart! Your heart is referred to as your inner man or spirit man. That is your hard drive you might say.

  • Your mind is your “temporary” files or “downloads.”
  • If you decide to “save it,” it goes from your mind to your heart for “permanent” storage and safe keeping.

Look, sort, and take action upon it. We are not manning the store as they say. The devil is piling up junk on our desk, and we are not doing anything with it. We are keeping it and we keep running across it on our desk, but we never get rid of it. It is trash. Throw it away. Junk it! Can you imagine what your desk and office space would look like if you never threw anything away? That is what our lives look like with all the trash we are living with. We need to clean house! Use it or lose it as we say.

In Summary

You have to stop it at the door. Look at who is sending the shipment, and either accept it or reject it immediately. You do not want your home or office (heart and mind) cluttered with mail and boxes that you will either never open or full of junk. When in doubt, throw it out. If it is good and precious, keep it. That is being a good manager of your time and space. You are in charge of you. What you say goes. What does your house look like on the inside? How are you managing your Self?

  1. See it
  2. Sort it
  3. Save it…or Delete it!
